“Interesting lesson in eco-friendly construction”

Ecotrust Building - Jean Vollum Natural Capital Center
Ranked #59 of 136 Shopping in Portland
Reviewed July 3, 2008

I found the building very interesting. Be sure to visit the Ecotrust offices on the second floor and pick up your "field guide" to the building. They constructed the building so that it had a complete environmental impact on the surrounding community and natural resources. Explore how they integrate into recycling of building materials (and buildings), control heating and lighting, and rainwater runoff/reuse. While I'm not a "tree-hugger", I can certainly see the wisdom of the project.
