I took the Max from Beaverton to the airport. As a first time rider, I found it very easy to navigate. The reliable schedule and dependable arrival time at the airport makes it so much easier than fighting the traffic. Too bad the parking garages at the stops aren't large enough to accommodate more commuters.

The Portland Metro is a fast and fun way to get around the city. To locals I'm sure it's just transportation like in any city, but when visiting it's a way of getting a feel for a city but using the transit system if they have one. This one is pretty good and it's sometimes faster and easier than a car. Enjoy a ride while in town.

The MAX met our transportation needs while visiting Portland. We didn't need a rental car as the MAX was inexpensive - $5 a day for each of us - and provided fast service from east to the west through the center of downtown Portland. This was excellent transportation to use to get to Hillsboro where we met our guide for touring wine country. Very impressive, on time, easy to use and inexpensive transportation.
