“Beautiful”

My personal favorite spot in Portland. The bridge was designed by the same man who designed the Golden Gate. Cathederal park below the bridge has a haunting peacefulness

Just beautiful to look at. A must see o all the bridges. A simple walk across the bridge puts you in the area of St. Johns.

“Spectacular Historic Suspension Bridge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2013

The views of and from the bridge are incredible! Recently refurbished in 2003-2004, I would recommend the short ride or long walk across this iconic North Portland bridge on the new sidewalks. Bring a camera!! A lot of traffic during peak times, so try to visit during late morning or early afternoon on weekdays. Weekends are good too. Sunrises are breathtaking, as are rainbows after a good Spring rain storm!

“This is an absolutely beautiful bridge”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

This bridge has such beauty and such grace. It's very 1930s-looking, and I believe was designed after the Golden Gate. It's a great bridge to walk over (biking not so much, but lots of folks do it) - to the east the downtown is just upriver from you, and to the west you can see the river for a long way as it flows toward the coast. There's a great park under the bridge. Go have lunch in St. Johns, sit in the park, then take walk across the bridge - a wonderful way to spend the afternoon!

“GREAT BRIDGE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

A very pretty bridge - the last one downriver on the Multnomah. There is a really nice park under the bridge, too. Cathedral Park is so named because of the lovely architecture.
