The scenery here is very nice. You can, hike, bike or run on the trails. Again, you should have a camera here for the photos.

Loved the urban hike that was just a few minutes outside of the city. A must to counter the great food adventures that was going to happen later in the day.

After some research via Portland Monthly Magazine, I decided to lead our group on the Ridge Trail in the early afternoon that was listed as one of the best hikes at Forest Park. I chose it, because it promised a view of the St. John's Bridge at the end of the "moderate level" hike. It was all downhill until--at last, a clear view of the bridge! Then it was all uphill to make it back to the little lot where we parked our car on Springville Road. It was a beautiful 3 mile hike with no other visitors!

Great easy hike, well traveled and well marked. On a clear day, great views of the mountains @ Viewpoint and Pittock Mansion. The 7 miles loop from Zoo to Pittock Mansion, was convenient for parking and restroom use. We'll definitely do it again.

Had a nice hike in Forest Park. If taking the train there, it's hard to figure out what's what. Also, there are so many trails that interconnect so without a map, it can be hard to navigate

A great place to hike and enjoy the great outdoors. Close in and you don't have to travel far. Shows off all the beautiful trees and nature.
