Holy perogie!! Granny? Are you hiding in that kitchen? I thought you were gone? (Eyes fill with tears)... Nope, it's Stash, the chef. And he means it: Polish Food. Come-n-get it while it's hot. I've made perogie on many occasions in my own kitchen. Stan has it down. A bargain at the price if you've ever endeavored to make them yourself. It's my favorite on the menu although we sucked down the kielbasa, potato pancakes, Stan's [this is why God invented] cheesecake, a Golabki and another plate of perogie... All authentic, all good.

I know you're missing home cooking... Here it is.

They offer homemade, delicious and fresh Polish food. Their pierogis are authentically made along with all their other signature dishes. The food is heart warming. You'll leave feeling loved. The chef will bring the food right out to your table. The Dobre Toddy will get your spirit all warmed up! Wow, what a drink that was!

We came here 8 pm on a Friday, on the recommendation of friends who are categorically hardcore foodies.

This is a quaint polish restaurant that reminded us some of what you might find in NYC--despite efforts to the contrary, a lot of acoustic reverberation, small footprint, close-by tables, menu items on chalkboards--but the prices were moderate. We ordered the latkes (yummy!), the pierogis (quite interesting, though a bit greasy), cabbage roll (ok, but cabbage seemed undercooked and flavor profile a bit bland), and the most-anticipated dish of the night, beef stroganoff. This last dish was a let-down, for while the dish appeared authentic in terms of sauce & noodles, again the low level of seasoning resulted in a lackluster palette experience. We wondered, where is the salt? We doubt we will return as the service was hit or miss (food took a while, especially appetizers, total dining time 90 minutes), and we were just not wowed by the food.

Also, this place doesn't take AmEx, so come prepared.

Eye candy - **** (this category sustained the overall *** rating, as the male server was hot & the cute guy at the best table)

If you are looking for outstanding pierogies, kielbasa (made in house), polish vodka drinks and other excellent food and drinks then you need to try bar sober. Stan does all the cooking and Christian can mix you up a great drink.
