One of my favorite eateries in Portland.
We usually go there at least once when visiting Portland.
Though the menu is geared mostly towards a pub crowd, it also offers some more eclectic and creative items that can pique the interest of any foodie. Any meal we've had here was well prepared, nicely presented and very tasty. We will certainly be back on our next visit to Portland. We also enjoy trying the beer sampler tray. Since we are very light, social drinkers we usually share one tray between two of us. There are about 10 different samples on it which is quite a bit for one person. It's a beautiful pub with great food and good beer. Always worth a visit.

Bridgeport is one of the pillars of Oregon's famed microbrew culture. This space is huge with long wooden tables and very noisy. Despite being in an old warehouse (exposed brick etc.) it has always felt very sterile to me. But if you go in summer, you can sit (on the uncomfortable metal chairs) on the former loading dock, which is better (although the neighborhood has improved to much to be really interesting anymore). They serve hearty pizza with the beer (bready, lots of toppings style) but it is overpriced.

I have been to this brewpub many times, but my boyfriend hadn't been since their remodel some years ago. He was totally knocked out by what a good job they did! We were greeted by a very friendly young woman at the door and seated in the bar. The place was quite full, but our waitress came to our table immediately. My boyfriend had a couple of beers - liked them both - and also enjoyed his beef sandwich. I had the fried shrimp po'boy and felt a little more shrimp and less bread would have been better. It's a bit loud, due to very high ceilings and cement floors, but if that doesn't bother you, I'd suggest you give this place a try.

Recommended to us by the Inn at Northrup Station.

Popped in, grabbed a beer from the bar and waited for a table. We enjoyed our Hop Czar, Blue Heron Pale Ale and Summer Breeze. Our meals were excellent. Service was good. Liked the interior and decorations. Enjoyed it so much we went back the next evening.

Never experienced any of the problems previous reviewers had. Would go back on next visit to Portland.
