The best part was the service. Food was average. Someday I'll find a good breakfast burrito.

I've been a Marco's customer since they first opened many years ago. They've always been imaginative and of high quality, though it's been through three ownerships I know of. The prices seem to be getting a bit high, but still well below most of the premier restaurants. I've been there for breakfast and dinner this week, and both were very satisfied, but the nod goes to the dinner, a delicious fresh halibut filet. Their house made herbed tarter sauce was a very nice touch. The entree with a dinner salad and latte was $27.50, not too bad, and I'd give the meal a five star rating. The desserts look great, but I rarely eat one these days. )

Nice clean place. The service was very attentive and quick.
The food was flavorful and interesting .
I tried the cod with ginger sauce and a tasty lemon rice. It was very nicely done.
My wife had the chicken florentine, and it was also good.
With appetizer , two entrees and two glasses of wine and a desert the total was around 50 bucks.
Pretty good value for a nice dinner.
I would definitely eat here again.

Marco's is one of our two favorite restaurants in the Portland area for breakfast or lunch. We most often go on weekends, when it is generally crowded; but the tables turn efficiently so the wait is never too long. Both food and service are excellent. The menu is extensive and varied, with a great range of egg dishes, waffles, salads, sandwiches, and other specialty dishes. They also have excellent desserts. Atmosphere is casual but pleasant, and while not exactly quiet, the noise level does not interfere with normal conversation. Best of all, though, is the food. The location is a little out of the way, in Multnomah Village, perhaps 5 miles or so from downtown Portland.

It was a rainy night in Portland - but Marcos was a very warm and friendly place to have dinner with cousins and spouse. The menu was very affordable. This time a vegetarian roulade - tasty, perfect portion size. The soup featured couscous - hearty and warming. The spouse and a cousin had a chicken thing with ginger sauce, another cousin had a salad. We were all very happy with the meals. The service is attentive. The water glasses were kept full. The beer selection met the needs of the brew snob - and there are 2 sizes to the glasses. Wine suggestions with the main courses.
Didn't have dessert this time - but have come to Marcos just for dessert on other weekend afternoons.
The parking lot can be full during busy times and the street parking can also be all taken during the feeding rush times - weekend brunches and some nights.
Reading materials are available while reading if you aren't interested in walking up to windowshop the neighborhood. Love the umbrellas hanging from the ceiling.
