While shopping in the Alphabet District of Portland, one of the local clerks recommended that we try the Portland City Grill. It was located down the street from the Brewers Festival, so we thought we'd stop by for happy hour.
Located on the 30th floor in one of the highest buildings in Portland, they have views of Portland in all directions. The inside itself was clean and looked to be recently renovated. There is a separate dining and bar/lounge area. We got there early just before happy hour and got a spot right by the window facing the river.
We settled for some beers and appetizers. We had the Garlic Fries and the Spicy Basil Chicken. Both were excellent. Given the location and ambiance, the prices were very reasonable.
By the time we left, the place was packed, so definitely get here early for a good seat.
