The restaurant is located in an alley-way, with tables set outside to dine when the sun is out. We were up for some of their famous fresh clam chowder, so we both ordered it. We split a Caesar salad and ordered a couple of drinks.
They first brought out some fresh baked hard rolls ... and they were DELICIOUS !! (we asked for more) then came out the Caesar salad and it was very flavorful and crisp. However, we were disappointed with the chowder.... the main dish we were waiting for. There were plenty of clams in it, but it was fishy and a little salty (like old clams?). We considered sending it back.
The service was very good by a young energetic waitress who catered to our every need. The price was reasonable, about $30 for our meal, drinks and tip ... and the atmosphere is cozy for a couple (likely not good for a family). Perhaps it was a bad day for the chowder, we'll try again once we're back in Portland.
