We ate here during the Christmas - New Year. It was packed but we had reservations. One problem is that we needed a table for 6. We waited about ten minutes and were seated in a smaller dining room. I thought the seating was very prompt. We started off with cocktails and had interesting appetizers. The waitress asked if we were in a hurry or did we want to have a leisurely dinner. We opted for the latter. Three of us were Easterners and three were Portlanders. The waitress suggested different things on and off the menu. We took some of her suggestions and since I'm not much of a fish eater, I ordered beef. The red and white wines flowed easily. Everyone cleaned their plates including our grandson. My sister-in-law was only waiting for the triple berry cobbler dessert. She had this several years ago and hasn't stopped talking about it. This restaurant is part of the McCormick & Schmick's empire. It doesn't lose anything in quality but it does insure consistency. We had an enjoyable time and look forward to our August 2013 visit. It's large and busy. I don't know if it would be good for romance but it is good for business luncheons or dinners.
