We stop by this place once a month or so for lunch. They have excellent hamburgers, Ruben sandwiches and tuna melts, and the fries are made fresh and are very tasty. It's a little dark inside, but a little lamp at our favorite table makes it cozy.

This place used to be my fav to eat a burger or other pub food and drink a brew. The drinks are still good but the food has lost its quality. The best sandwich they had was the Philly Cheesesteak which was huge. It is now more bread than anything else. I will still stop in for a drink but think I will eat elsewhere.

Visited with freinds for lunch on a Monday. Approximately one-half of the building is the bar, the other half is the dining area. One of our guests had eaten here many times in the past and always had the chilli burger, but chose tater tots over fries as she found them greasy the last time she was in. We were waited on by the new owner (since December 2012), a genial person, but not cut out to be a waiter.

The entire facility is decorated in rough plank lumber for a rustic look much like being inside a sawmill. It is a bit cavernous and has little pockets of rooms off the various aisles one including a bank vault, a post office window with barred window and old fashion post office mail boxes. The theme is a combination of things including sea faring memorabilia, sawed lumber and over all very dark inside.

We ordered two chilli burgers, one with fries (to see if they had improved) and one with tater tots, plus a cheese and bacon omlette that came with hash browns and toast. For drinks we ordered two coffees and one beer. The dining area was empty, except for us. We found out that the former waiter was now the cook. The coffee and beer were served and a short while later the food was delivered by the cook. He had no table presence at all, just dropped the food and left. The owner / waiter came by in a few minutes and we asked for catsup and jelly for the toast and a refill on the coffee. The fries were greasy and a dark brown color - either old oil or too hot. The tater tots were ok and a light tan color. The chilli burgers were so-so, nothing remarkable. The omlette was quite small, melted cheese over the top and some cheese and bacon inside, but it looked as though it had been pressed flat on the plate. There was no fluffy omlette here! The hash browns had potatoe skins mixed in and were also a dark brown and somewhat musty tasting. We had to ask for another refill on coffee and it was served out of a pot that had about 2 inches of coffee in the pot which was lukewarm.

The bill without tip was north of $30. The owner needs to find a decent cook and revist the food prep / cooking methods of his kitchen

The place is under new management. The staff is nice. The food is delicious and will fill you up! The locals are very gracious in this nautical theme'd restaurant. What starts out as normal bar food turns out to be many interesting dishes. Try the Tachos! Nachos + Tater Tots = Tachos! The Lighthouse burger is huge and very tasty. Breakfast is served in the mornings and they are open usually until 11pm.

Fish & chips was nothing to write home about.
Dark, below-deck atmosphere. More of a sport's bar feel.
Nice ship's doors, portholes, etc.
Waiting crew seemed nice enough.
