A Portland institution.
This restaurant "won" a neighborhood burger battle title of "most popular". Too bad my first visit was disappointing. Our burgers arrived burnt to a crisp on one side of the patty, cheese thrown on at last minute, served not melted. I had a burnt taste in my mouth long after leaving the restaurant. It's a shame because it seems to be a family run retro sort of place. They need to watch their quality control on the burgers if they want to be known for them! For a great burger around Portland try Stanich's, or Helvetia Tavern.
A tradition in the Hollywood area. You have to check it out for that reason alone.
Greasy as hell, but pretty darn cheap, delicious, and friendly, especially if you are one of the many regulars that frequent this little gem on Sandy.
