“Very Rich”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

We visited Voodoo with a friends of ours who was travel nursing and it was quite an experience. The 3 of us mad the perhaps unwise choice of getting a dozen donuts to try all the crazy variety. These donuts lasted unless a week because we could only eat a little at a time (even the two guys) as they were very rich. Definitely try out this local must-do place but you'll be happier if you pick 1 or 2!

“Go during off peak hours.”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

We went around 11pm and the line wasn't that bad, the service was fast too so it doesn't take as long as it looks like. We passed by the next day and the line was almost up to the end of the block. They're open 24 hours so you can come anytime. It's hard to pick which one to buy since there's so much choices.

“Too Much Fun”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

We walked by VooDoo Doughnut and the line was beyond long. So when we came back to the area at an off time to buy donuts, our wait was only about 30 minutes. THAT is good believe it or not. Just waiting in line is an experience in itself and the donuts are amazing. Bacon Maple Bar...oh yeah.

“Quirky Donuts - Average Taste”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

We paid the obligatory visit to Voodoo Doughnut whilst visiting Portland. The doughnuts are funny, funky, quirky in shape and flavor choices. I got a voodoo doll (with raspberry filling), an apple fritter and several calmer type doughnuts. They were average tasting. The draw is the quirkiness of the doughnut types. I guess I'm too much the "old fart" to fully appreciate it. I still would recommend a visit for a first time visitor.
