“Ringler's Annex adventure”
Reviewed December 12, 2011

I love this little subterranean bar. The McMeniman brothers have done it right again. This is a great bar to just hang out in.

“Awesome soup and good service”
Reviewed October 25, 2010

When I travel to Portland, I make it a habit to eat at a McMenamins establishment. Ive been to 205, Edgefield and now Ringlers. Great atmosphere with a selections of beers that dosent disappoint. The Curry Veggie Soup was to die for. Plenty of veggies in a hot lip smackin broth. Perfect for a rainy day. The fish and chips were also very tasty. Perfectly fried with a moist inside...yummy! The fries were ok. I prefer the more meaty fries that can be dunked into tartar or A-1. These were rather skinny. Other than that, Id give this place 2 thumbs up!

“Disappointed, Tough Steak, Poor Service”
Reviewed July 31, 2010

My husband and I are locals on the weekends in Portland, Oregon, and thought we'd give Ringlers a try because we'd heard good things about it. It was a late Thursday evening around 10PM, the bar was pretty busy and we opted to eat in the quieter dining area. Given there was only one other table with a different wait person, our waiter seemed to take his time getting to our table and in between courses. He was very friendly and polite. The biggest disappointment was our steaks, both were tough with our having to spit out pieces too tough to chew. Not something one would expect of a restaurant of this calliber. We don't mind paying higher prices for better quality food and above-average service but we were sorely disappointed with both at Ringler's. We probably could have gotten better steaks at a Denny's. We will not be back.

“Yum!”
Reviewed May 27, 2008

We ate at Ringler's and thought it hit the spot. Very close to Powell's and the streetcar line, we found this place easily and thought the food and beer was very good. I had an amazing salad and a turkey wrap. The Ruby raspberry beer was delicious, too. Overall, it was reasonably priced and quite tasty! We will definitely go back next time we're in Portland.
