While on a visit to Portland, we were in the REI store and asked one of the clerks for a suggestion for a nearby place for lunch. We were walking. She suggested Hot Lips and gave us directions.
When we arrived, the place was packed, a good sign. Looking at the wide selection of ready cooked pizzas, it was hard to pick one. We could have asked for one to be made, but we did not want to wait, and the ones already prepared looked delicious. They were moving quickly, so we were not concerned about getting something that had been sitting for a long time.
We each picked a slice of the their ABC, artichoke hearts, bacon and house smoked free range chicken, with spinach and mushrooms. It was delicious, some of the best pizza we have had. The portion size was very generous too.
If we had taken the time to order, we would have asked for a pizza with whole wheat crust. It was nice to see that this is an option. They also have vegetarian and vegan choices, so there is something for everyone.
We did not know anything about their system, but we found everyone to be very friendly and helpful, always something nice to encounter.
