We dined at Delta Cafe because my husband was in the mood for chicken fried steak and we had heard that Delta Cafe was the place to go. Our server was very friendly and prompt. We ordered the chicken fried steak with potato-cheese casserole and biscuits and gravy. I had the beef brisket po'boy with tater-tot casserole. Since my husband is a connoisseur of chicken fried steak, this was a real test. It came with chicken gravy, which at first was a turn off. But, he was surprised by the herby-deliciousness of the gravy and was sold. He thought the sides were very good as well, but enjoyed the CFS the most. My po'boy was very good, I ordered it "dressed" with coleslaw and spicy BBQ sauce. I could only eat half the sandwich and half the tater-tot casserole since the portions were very large. The sandwich was very good, the casserole was a bit bland, could have use some herbs and bacon or ham in my opinion. Overall we had a very good experience. We sat outside on the sidewalk and people watched on a beautiful summer evening. Needless to say, we went home happy.
