My wife and I were staying at the Mariott Waterfront in Portland and wanted to get out for dinner, but didn't want to get the car out of the valet garage. We checked the hotel-provided map, and noticed the listing for the Dragonwell Bistro. It sounded good, so we walked over (about 120 minutes) We were seated quickly and enjoyed the decor while we looked over the menu, which was nice and varied. As vegetarians, Chinese food is often a good fit for us, and this was no different, although some of the meat dishes sounded quite tasty. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic, as well as knowledgeable about the menu and he made sure that our meals were in fact vegetarian (no fish sauce). The food was spectacular. We have eaten at many Chinese restaurants, and this is one of the best! While we were waiting for our meal, the owner came by and introduced himself and welcomed us to his restaurant. Definitely will be back for more - great food, good ambiance, affordable prices.
