Description: Andina draws inspiration from the native culinary traditions of Peru, as well as from the contemporary cooking by some of Peru’s leading chefs. Owner Doris Rodriguez de Platt, collaborates with Andina’s kitchen team to develop a menu that celebrates her family’s Andean roots, interweaving the ideas and techniques of both Criollo and Novo-Andean cuisines. The kitchen sources native and local ingredients to create dishes at once traditionally rooted and personally inspired. Founded in 2003, Andina emerged as one of the region’s leading Peruvian restaurants and continues to generate wide appeal within the food communities in and around Portland, and much further afield.

We visited for tapas and drinks on the advice of a few different friends. Really enjoyed the food and our server made a couple of excellent recommendations. Our cocktails were excellent. They brought us a nice little dessert to recognize our anniversary which is always very much appreciated. The owner made a point of thanking us personally for visiting despite the fact the restaurant was completely packed.

Visiting our son in Portland and heard this was good. It' great! Wonderful service, food is awesome. Be sure to share some tapas at your table. You won't be disappointed. Make reservations because this place is very popular.

This is a wonderful restaurant. Very caring, considerate wait staff. Excellent food. It has expanded. We first went there when it was one floor; I think it's 3 floors now. I like how the wait staff treat each other; they help each other and seem to love their jobs. You do have to have a reservation. We got in this last time because we ate at 5:30!! usually we go for 7 or 8. The wait staff tell us that they love working there and the owners are "wonderful people'.Great wine selection.

This was my second time at Andina and I cannot wait to return!

Their cocktail of pepper-infused vodka and passionfruit juice was amazing, and I am not that much of a drinker. The beef empanada was delicious, but the appetizer of Yukon gold potatoes, spicy crab salad, ahi and breaded shrimp is one of the best things I have ever had anywhere, hands down. I had the diver scallops as my entree and they were out of this world good.
The waiter was very patient, fun, and knowledgeable. Overall this was a 5 star experience. Pricey, but for the quality, really worth the splurge!

We called ahead to reserve here per the recommendation of the hotel staff and usually we prefer to kind of "fly by the seat of our pants" on vacation but having a set dinner time was oh so worth it! The food is REALLY excellent and Portland takes dining and service seriously; which made the flavorful dinner worth it! Tapas and meals are excellent, flavors are comprehensive and quality is superb! Delicious :)
