Description: Andina draws inspiration from the native culinary traditions of Peru, as well as from the contemporary cooking by some of Peru’s leading chefs. Owner Doris Rodriguez de Platt, collaborates with Andina’s kitchen team to develop a menu that celebrates her family’s Andean roots, interweaving the ideas and techniques of both Criollo and Novo-Andean cuisines. The kitchen sources native and local ingredients to create dishes at once traditionally rooted and personally inspired. Founded in 2003, Andina emerged as one of the region’s leading Peruvian restaurants and continues to generate wide appeal within the food communities in and around Portland, and much further afield.

“Great experience”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

Andina is set in the Pearl District in Portland. It is a lovely setting in a popular area area. The environment of the restaurant is vibrant. Andina features Peruvian fusion food. There is a tapas and full entrée menus. The food and service were great, the live music was great. Truly a delightful evening.

“Excellent Meal”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

Our meal at Andina was one of our favorite experiences in Portland. Order the Mixta Nikkei Causa - you won't regret it! The menu has lots of delicious cocktails and fresh seafood. Go with a few people so you can share dishes tapas-style. Also, very convenient to book online.

“Best Wine Steward In America, Creative Fresh Food”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

Andina is crowded and hard to get a reservation.
With good reason. It is outstanding. The food is creative and unusual and ethnic, but in the really good sense of unusual and ethnic! The prices are slightly high, but worth it.
But the really amazing thing is the wine list and sommelier, who picked wines that were below our stated budget and that were perfectly matched with the food. The wines he recommended were not just the pricey wines with high-point-scores from the wine magazines, and instead were found-out by a hard-working wine steward. What a pleasure.
If you can get a seat or a table, go to Andina. It is worth the effort.

“Taking Peruvian Cuisine To A Higher Level”
Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

Having spent time in Peru, we were interested to see how Andina compared. What a pleasant surprise. While staying authentic, there were some pleasant surprises.
We did the small plates 4-5 for two people gave a perfect sampling.

“Excellent food, noisy place”
Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

Absolutly adviced. Excellent plates everything we had was so tasty and plus they offered the appetizer. You have to take the cannoli with passion fruit cream
Normal price, good for Portland
Service was a bit slow but they were kind. Probably there were too many people and actually the place was noisy and annoying.
