Description: Andina draws inspiration from the native culinary traditions of Peru, as well as from the contemporary cooking by some of Peru’s leading chefs. Owner Doris Rodriguez de Platt, collaborates with Andina’s kitchen team to develop a menu that celebrates her family’s Andean roots, interweaving the ideas and techniques of both Criollo and Novo-Andean cuisines. The kitchen sources native and local ingredients to create dishes at once traditionally rooted and personally inspired. Founded in 2003, Andina emerged as one of the region’s leading Peruvian restaurants and continues to generate wide appeal within the food communities in and around Portland, and much further afield.

From the excellent service, to the delicious food, to the warm table-side greeting from Mama Doris, this place is wonderful. We loved it!

Andina has a lively atmosphere. Their menu is quiet large and varied. I haven't had anything on the menu that I haven't liked yet. I have been there three times. They usually have live music playing in a small area of the bar. It drifts out into the restauraunt. The music is usually latin, meant to add ambience not to dance to. The music is a very nice touch. A couple of times we have talked to the owner as she walks around her restaraunt and talks to diners. Their bar has an incredibly creative drink list. It is hard to pick which one to try. I have liked every drink that I have tried except for the "Sacsayhuaman" only because it was too spicey for me. This restaurant should be a "must go" if you are looking for a restaurant to try.

Really attractive, large, popular place. Wasn't able to reserve a table on a busy Friday night but got a table in the bar area as soon as we walked in. Very fun and tasty small plates. Reasonable prices. Would go back to this place again and again!

The food, atmosphere, and waitstaff were quite simply phenomenal. One of the best dinners I've had in a long time.

We met for happy hour and the great price on oysters. The bread, sauces and oysters were so good that we decided to order other food. It was all exceptional. It was a Saturday afternoon so it was pretty crowded but the waitstaff handled it quite well. I look forward to going back and trying other things. The drinks were delightful as well!
