Small portion. Great atmosphere. The restaurant looks very nice, but the food is more than disappointing. I love Vietnamese food, but this place is no where near "good". If you are hungry, go to McDonald's instead. The Pho broth I tried tasted like water! Ask for ketchup if you have a chance!

Silk is a Vietnamese restaurant that has taken street-style type food and elevated it to another level. The space and the food is upscale yet casual. A great combination for lunch.

For appetizers, their Cha Gio will be familiar. Four crispy rolls with a complex, house dipping sauce (nuoc man). For a lighter appetizer, try their Goi Cuon, or salad roll. You’ll get two with a side of peanut sauce.

You have to try their soups. Pho is what first made them famous. All of them are excellent, but I love their wonton soup. Shrimp/pork wonton dumplings with 5 spice pork, chives and served with egg noodles in a lovely broth. It's killer!

My favorite dish at Silk is their Bo Luc Lac. They take what is a common street food in Vietnam and put an upscale spin on it by using grass-fed cubed filet mignon seared and ‘shaken’. Shaken refers to the tossing of the beef, back and forth, in the wok after it’s quickly seared. The flavors are out of this world. It is served over warm watercress, organic red onions and tomatoes. A party in your mouth!

A very traditional Vietnamese selection of sandwiches (Manh Mi) is perfect for a quick pick-up. I’ll pre-order this and take back to the office. My favorite is the grilled lemongrass chicken banh mi. It comes with a side of their house salad.

For a drink, a must is their Vietnamese Espresso with condensed milk. You can have it iced or hot. Iced in the summer and hot in the winter is the perfect pairing to your meal.

Other drinks include a variety of beer, tea, wine and softdrinks. Their homemade limeade is a perfect refresher on a summer day.

Did lunch here with a friend which was perfect. A chilled glass of white wine with some noodle salad, veggie wraps and spicey peanut sauce on chicken. Nice atmosphere and cool shell lamps hanging from the ceiling, outdoor cafe tables, too.

I had a seafood soup; the server did a good job about being honest about the quantity so I didn't over-order. They have a pretty cool cocktail list, too.
