Excellent and attentive service, everyone was very courteous and truly thankful that we were there. The appetizers were great. I recommend the sweetbread and roasted beets (someone at our table said remarked that the beets were the best that he ever had!). I went with the fish special. Nice and tasty. Responsibly priced as well. Worth a stop if you are in Portland.

Love this restaurant. It is such a gem in a quiet NW neighborhood. It's a must whenever we visit Portland. Always consistent and excellent quality food. October was a great time to visit, the weather had just turned cool/cold and Paley's seasonal menu was perfect!

Wonderful setting in an old house. Great server who really knew her wines. Tasty food, great presentation. All around five star experience. We will be back

Visited the NW side on bike and stumbled on this place. Later research noted that it was a Portland winner!

A bit pricey, but worth it. The service and food were incredible - the ravioli, bone marrow escargot, and steak dishes (apparently all quite popular) did not disappoint. The server was really nice and open to talking about the region, the restaurants philosophy on food, and on taking care of their staff ... just a good person to have host.

We will be back ...

If your best friend happens to be a world-class chef. The room is very pleasant, the service professional and friendly, but none of that Hi my name is ---and I'll be your server tonight! Just very appropriate. And the food was terrific. We each ordered two dishes, one as a starter and one as a main, but but the half portions. It was just right: enough to eat but not so much we left feeling we ate too much. The food is rich in flavor and texture, but not particularly rich in calories. Each plate had a thoughtful balance of color, flavor, and texture. If. We lived in Portland, we would visit here often to see what they do with the seasonal ingredients. Everything was just right.
