Had dinner at Morton's for our anniversary. Enjoyed our steak, salad, potato. Steak melted in our mouths. In conversation we told the waiter it was our anniversary and he was eager to order us a dessert. We told him we had been treated to wine and strawberries at the hotel so we passed. He insisted that he would treat us to a "surprise." However, after our dishes were cleared and we sat for 30 minutes with no communication from our waiter, we chose to leave. As we put on our coats and paid he came running up saying our "special treat" was ready, but we declined. Later, we looked at our receipt and noted that he charged us $17.50 for the "treat" we didn't want. It was subtracted from our total but we were disappointed to see that our waiter implied he was giving us a treat but then charged us. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise nice dinner.

I was disappointed in my shrimp scampi and steak, my beet salad had a about 3 small beet bites in it and there was barely any dressing or goat cheese on it either. Service was a bit lack luster but wasn't bad. Over priced for the quality. But I must say, the bread was amazing.

First of all, drinks were way overpriced. Really, 50 $ for a bottle of cab that at Safeway, same brand and year is 15? My husband's 50 $ steak the second time still did not come out cooked correctly. He ordered it rare. The first time it was medium well and the second time, medium rare, but trust me, he can cook a better steak. There is nothing about this food that says that anyone cares about the food. The bread, which they don't make was good. The giant asparus was too salty and the potatoes had way too much horseradish so that it was unpleasant, and I like spicey food. For the money, I do not recommend.

We went for our birthdays. The menu on the table had “Happy Birthday _____ and _____” printed on it! It just got better from there. Delicious food. Escargot under puff pastry, fresh salad, crusty bread, husband's steak & seafood and my lamb chops all perfection. AND a birthday soufflé, a gift from the restaurant. Some have said it is expensive, we had 1 glass of wine each and 1 cup of coffee each, starter, salad, and 2 enters (no potato/starch item) for $200 including tip- so you decide. They even kept our leftovers in their firg. while we went to a show across the street at the Keller. Just an amazing experience!

Went for dinner there expecting top notch food and service. All we found was top notch prices. Have never paid so much for mediocre steaks anywhere! It became the joke of our trip to try and find a place with entrees as expensive as Morton's. Imagine our surprise when we could not. The restaurant itself was okay. Noisy, not fantastic ambience. Final thoughts. Just skip it! You are paying dearly for the name and nothing else!
