Took an Uber to the mall to see what they had, it was not a big mall nor did it have many stores. I thought for the size of Portland it would have been bigger. Was clean but just not much to see or shop for. Macys was about it
Under big renovation. Has a ice skating rink. Not sure if rink will be here after the renovation. Multi screen movie theater across the street. There is a food court and Macy's.
So the mall is 3 stories tall and within a stone throw from the MAX stop.
The mall has all the typical shops of a large mall. There is a skating rink and a so-so food court.
We thought considering there were no empty store fronts it must be an indication of a good economy for Portland. Our mall has more empty store fronts than occupied ones. Kids threw on skates and went a few laps on the ice, good thing there was a railing to keep from falling.
There are renovations of the shopping center in the center of Portland in progress. There is a nice ice rink in the center of the mall and there are a variety of stores, some the usual suspects, but there are also local merchants which seems to be a growing trend in shopping centers across the country. There are a few food places in the shopping center will more to come. Some of the upper floors are occupied by offices and vocational school. The parking is a bit tight but the shopping ceter is very easily accessible by the Light Rail.
This mall is HUGE! So many good stores including a Portland souvenir shop as well as a full ice rink!!
