I've made New Deal a regular stop on our Distillery Row tours. My wife and I like to visit when we are in town (we live about 2 hours away) and like to bring friends here for fun. The New Deal seems to be entirely staffed by women and most are a bit eccentric -- think the women's bookstore in Portlandia. They are best known for vodka and gin, but they've started to distill a rum too. These folks tend to experiment more than the rest on Distillery Row and their tasting room is very spacious -- tasting near where the stills are distilling. Just enough quirkiness to make it a must stop for any micro distillery fan!
