Description: Raven & Rose offers classic British Isles cuisine and fine cocktails in Portland's historic Ladd Carriage House. Our dining room menu draws inspiration from the Irish and British countryside, driven by simple, pristine ingredients and exceptional execution in an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming and attentive. The Rookery-our upstairs bar-provides an exclusive hideaway for sipping cocktails inspired by the building's exuberant history. In our effort to capture the essential Portland spirit, we've created a space locals can enjoy again and again, as well as a haven for travelers who want the comfort of a hearth and a satisfying meal. We look forward to seeing you soon.

We had dinner there a week or so ago, and it was marvelous! The short ribs were amazing, and the Butterscotch Pudding dessert was to die for.

New/old cocktails, VERY nice!

The building is the restored carriage house for the Ladd addition...beautiful renovation!
Great atmosphere....seems cozy for such a large space. Lots of ambiance. Upstairs is a wonderful "bar", with pool tables, great drinks and tasty treats!

Well worth going there...the newest of Portland's fine restaurants.

I like it! I had a delicious, very interesting celery-hazel nut soup as a starter, followed by mussels in a heavenly broth with fennel sausage. Both combinations might sound awkward, but wait till You have tasted them... Wine and service were very good as well.
Raven & Rose openend just a few weeks ago, and is the newest one in the pretty long list of excellent Portland restaurants. The restaurant is not far from a concert hall and the art museum, as well as a couple of other places. Very nice historic building! I haven't been upstairs, just in the restaurant.
