We had a group of seven friends for a two day tour of Willamette Valley, which was new to all of us. Since we had not visited before, we decided to do a hire a company that knew the area and could handle all the logistics and winery contacts. We chose the right company. Ralph and Peggy put together a wonderful itinerary with one day of progressive appetizers (more sandwiches please) and one day with a lovely lunch at Willakenzie. Our group's favorite was Ayers and second was Anderson. Both small, incredible producers making the kinds of wines that appealed to our group. We also visited two other smaller produers: JK Carriere and Prive both of which are wonderful to visit. We could not have found these wineries on our own or been able to have the access to the winemakers that we did. The two larger wineries were Beaux Freres and Willakenzie. Our guide, John, could not have been more lovely and knowlegable and we hope his daughter had her baby and thay are both fine. Just let Grape Escape know what you want, the types of wines you are interested in and they will handle the rest. It was the best introduction to the Willamette Valley that we could have asked for. Kudos to Grape Escape!
