First of all I must say that it is very refreshing to eat at a sushi place that stresses sustainable quality... that is rarely the case.

We (my husband and 5-year old) went to Bamboo Sushi around 5.30pm and the place was already bustling. I was worried we would have a super long wait, but was determined to stay. We were then seated quickly cos we were at the cooking table which was indeed perfect for us because our son was intrigued with the sushi making. What fun. Then we ordered (can't remeber all the dazzling names, something "green machine" something "chase the dragon"), but the sushi was all of excellent quality and absolutely delicious. The mixtures are novel and adventurous, but really work. We all ate a lot of sushi and my son was wanting more. He loved the place. Wish we had had more time to go back there!!!! HIghly recommendable.

Definitely try other things on the menu, not just sushi! Asparagus appetizer and wagyu beef dish were amazing! And of course the sushi was too! Our server was great, but the restaurant did struggle with accommodating us with our baby. They did eventually make it happen though.

Asked to sit at bar (23rd street location) to avoid waiting in line. The hostess took us to our seats and introduced us to the bartender, Kaikani (niice touch). and we were treated as very special customers. Accepted his Sushi and dessert recommendations and had an outstanding dining experience.
