I was surprised by the wineries here, very good wine.... try the uncorked cafe for great lunch. Going in the fall is nice, all the vines turn bright yellow. Our favorite winery was Coelho winery.

Rainy fall provided us with a chance to visit and try the apple orchards. Apples were delicious and nice variety. Only dissapointment was that there were very few signs or info places to find orchards and farms. If you go, prepare ahead as much as possible.

Loved our hotel - the Black Walnut Inn. The area is easy to navigate and beautiful. Great restaurants. Wineries are excellent and the people are warm and friendly. Hiking is somewhat of a drive, but worthwhile.

Definitely recommend a tour through the oregon wine country. We tried doing it on bike but found too many long dirt driveways. So either bring a designated driver or take it very slow between vineyards!

While it involves quite a bit of driving through winding and rough roads, the time spent is rewarded with great views, great wine and great fun.
