The Inn's slogan of "in the middle, but on the edge" (or something like that), really holds true. This location isn't really in the Pearl or in the NW 23rd street areas, but it's right between making it an easy walk to either. Although it's a longer walk, we ventured up to Pittock Mansion and the Japanese/Rose Gardens on foot. Plus, the NS trolley stops right in front of hotel, so you can grab that (hotel gives you 2 free passes per day) if you want to travel further out - or aren't into lots of walking.
The hotel itself is nice. It's always nice to have a full kitchenette in the room, though we didn't really use it much on this trip. The décor is funky. Bed was really comfortable.
The breakfast wasn't anything special, but we enjoyed being able to save a few bucks by having a good, solid breakfast before heading out for the day.
I'd recommend the Inn at Northup Station.
