Do the entire menu. Awesome experience. Unusual, unique and pleasure in every mouthful. Why is the place empty?

“Divine! Warm and cozy setting with a marvelous small plates menu!”
Reviewed June 25, 2012

Yum! I recently tried Bent Brick and can't wait to return. The place has a great atmosphere - open and modern, yet intimate and cozy. The menu isn't overly complicated - simple sets of snacks, small plates, larger plates and desserts - and the drink menu is gorgeous. I had the chef's choice of three small plates for $30; my dining companion opted for the restaurant week $25 special of one snack, one pork entree and one dessert. Everything was a creative combination of flavors, textures and sensations. It was definitely an amazing culinary experience. We split a 1/2 carafe of wine. The bill came to $80 not including tip. While the portions seemed small (mostly because we loved every dish and wanted more), we were very full and satisfied at the end after sharing all of the dishes. Can't wait to go again!

“Delicious, funky and fun”
Reviewed June 21, 2012

The ambiance is fun and laid back, the food is great and the atmosphere is unpretentious. I ate inside but they have a great outdoor section as well as a large door that opens the interior of the restaurant to the outside.

“Dining Debacle”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

We had read about the "Eat the whole menu" from a blogger and from a review in The Oregonian. Our evening was a dining debacle. There were 8 of us. There is a niche for this type of restaurant, unfortunately it is not us. Based on what we had read, one could share. 3 Couples decided to do this. Chefs decided to put all three portions on one plate. Waitress was rude, manager left at 10:00pm, before patrons. They do have a fantastic wine list and their wine is on tap.

Received a response from the chef, to quote a few lines:

"Possibly, you chose to split the Eat The Whole Menu among your table to save money."

"We believe that if you are at The Bent Brick to Eat The Whole Menu it is our obligation to let you enjoy it. If you want it expedited we will happily do it but there is a limit to how fast most non-competitive eaters can injest (sp) their food."

"I know that we probably won't be seeing you again at The Bent Brick but your feedback will be used to improve our service in the future."

“Fabulous!”
Reviewed December 6, 2011

We had a group of 5 and tried everything on the menu. All were excellent. The pickiest 10-yr-old ate almost everything, as did the 80-yr old meat and potatoes grandma. Don't forget to ask Adam to make a special cocktail!
