We'd just left Coava and were ready for lunch and stumbled on Pacific Pie - what a stroke of luck!
The menu is based on savory english/australian pastie hand pies (think: chicken pot pie) as well as fruit/sweet pies for dessert.

Each savory pie has an option for a side: fries, mac & cheese, salad, etc. All the sides were fresh and tasty, no complaints at all.

The only drawback, for me, is the volume of the music playing. The restaurant seems to me to be a place for you to explore a new food with friends, sharing and discussing the meal. When the music is turned up to the point where it interferes with that you've made a mistake.
Taking a table at the front or on the sidewalk would help, but I hope the restaurant simply makes some adjustments.
Make no mistake, we'll definitely visit Pacific Pie in the future!

We arrived not really knowing what to expect. Well, we were treated to fabulous EVERYTHING!

Not being terribly familiar with savory pies, our server was more than willing to set us on the path to being savory pie aficionados. She brought out what she thought were the best pies and pasties, some were "specials", some were everyday menu items. All of them were so good, we considered taking back some to the hotel and seeing if they would make it till we were hungry again. When it comes to ordering, close your eyes and point. You'll love whatever shows up.

On to the sweet side.

Here again, you really can't go wrong. Our server had done such a great job, we asked her to forge on and bring us the goodies! She responded with a peanut butter chocolate pie and a coconut log thing (?). Can't remember what she called it but both were jaw droppingly delicious!! I thought we might be done at that point. I was wrong.

My wife determined that a savory pie would most probably not survive until the next day and that we should not risk buying them To Go. On the other hand, she was sure that their signature apple pie would easily make the journey and we ordered one to go. It lasted all the way to breakfast the next day and we easily learned why it was their signature pie. It was fabulous!!

Don't miss this place. Not only is the food terrific but the staff is fun, caring and eager to please. Go!!

We came here twice in a week and spent more than $100 total. Not that it costs so much eating here, it was because we bought some frozen pies to take to Seattle and also some coming home with us to L.A. Beats sandwiches any time. I just love their pie crust! My first choice would be Beef and Stout, very tasty. Classic beef was excellent too. The Sunday Lamb was good also but I think there's not enough meat in there. We also tried their pasties and sausage rolls, all delicious. Now I am telling everyone that if you are in Portland, you must go to Pacific Pie Co. Wish I could take up their pie making lessons. $6 for a meat pie is better than any sandwiches. Oh, if getting warm pies to go, they may not have the flavor you want at that moment. They may only have one or two of each kind in the case.

Having visited England several times we fell in love with their savory pies and pasties but unfortunately you can't find them easily here in the States. The pies and pasties we had at Pacific Pie were every bit as good if not better, than what we had across the pond and very affordable. We were visiting our daughter and British son-in-law and ended up here twice because we were so impressed. We loved their spring roast lamb pie with their amazing mashed potatoes. Service the first time was a lot better than the second time as our waitress was a little scattered but the food was still tremendous! And you can take frozen ones home to enjoy. Their sweet pies were also wonderful!

I took a small group to the Pacific Pie Company and every person loved their food!
Small place, not much in the way of decor but the staff is friendly and the food great.
The ONLY down side is that a lot of the dishes were 'spicy' so if you don't care for intense
flavors this may not be the place for you.
We also had the dessert pies and, wow, were they good!
Try it, you won't be sorry!
