Stayed for one night before and early flight out of PDX. Was given a room on the top floor, room was clean and updated, very comfortable, with ample parking. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was amazing! Seated right along a wildlife preserve, enjoyed the water and many birds that came and went. Had a salad with fresh salmon and a glass of wine..couldn't have been better! The only negative was the girl at the front desk, not very welcoming for such a great hotel, but I would most definitely stay here again!

On August 12, 2019, we elected to stay at this hotel since our friends from out of town were traveling the next morning. Below is what we dealt with:

• We requested a first floor room at time of booking and received a 2nd floor room with no elevator which was problematic due to the fact we had a person who could not climb stairs
• The first room literally had no air conditioning. The room was probably 90 degrees inside & 15 degrees cooler in the hall. We were in room 208 and the neighboring room of 207 had the same issue. Both of us requested a room change.
• We were later notified that we would be moved (in a separate building on the 2nd floor) which required going down stairs again and upstairs in an adjacent building. The air conditioner in that room was not working well either.
• We went out for ice to find all ice machines inoperable or out of ice.
• The rug in the room had a large sticky stain or spill right by our bed.
• The couple staying with us saw a large rat outside running toward the restaurant door
We called the GM at the front desk the following morning and were treated with extremely rude. We reported the situation to the corp. customer service and the hotel GM sent an email accusing my wife of cussing him out and advising us that we would never be allowed back at the hotel. We and our friends are all seniors. They were appalled by the conditions and treatment as well. Our travel agent later told us that she never advises anyone to stay at this establishment.

We got to the room...no coffee, dirty coffee cups, no shampoo, sink broken and didn't drain properly, staff kept knocking at our door when the do not disturb tag was out....
very sad stay...We probably will switch back to Embassy For our pre trip stays
