Did I get harrased because I cancelled booking?
Review of Radisson Hotel Portland Airport

I booked 2 days this hotel, but I cancelled 1 day since the noise was too loud. I had no problem with the front desk to cancel it, but the next morning when I had a breakfast in the bar, my waitress started to give me an attitude. She took my utensils even I was not even done, and took my bill and never came back. When I went back to the bar to talk to someone, she gave me my credit card back, but later on I found out the I have got charged for something I did not order. I would like to know if they do it for not letting people cancel, or had some other reasons? I actually want to know what is Do and Don'ts here.

My sincerest apologies in regards to the unacceptable service you received in Lakeside Bar and Grill. There should be no reason whatsoever for the issues you had and I will be following up with the entire Lakeside team. We completely understand people have to cancel reservations or nights for a variety of reasons and we work with them to do so professionally and with the utmost courtesy. Once again, I'm very sorry about the poor service you received.

The hotel was under construction with no front entry. Not a big deal, enter through the back. The "pond" shown in the pictures made me laugh. It is a scummy pond surrounded by black berry bushes. The water looked like nutria might crawl out. Outside seating was closed. I can see why. Now the good. Four of us ate dinner at the restaurant. Chicken wrap, chicken Alfredo, chicken sandwich and a pizza. FABULOUS. Food was great and the service top notch. Kids ate breakfast. Very spendy for a waffle... not worth it. The have coffee, granola bars and fruit in the lobby. Do that instead. Now for the shuttle and the main reason I booked this hotel. ON TIME and runs every 15 minutes. He was all over it and seemed to accept the challenge of don't be late. On the way back you call for a shuttle. Takes at least 50 rings for someone to answer than she says.. no need to call, they run every 15 minutes. Okay.. how about a recording? Runs every 15 minutes, go to the second island far to the left. Done. We were lucky though, walked out and hopped right on a shuttle. Very full shuttle and we left some folks at the curb because there was no room. Would I stay again? Probably. I'm sure the hotel will be better after renovations. If I lived in Portland, I would go for the restaurant.
Room tip: Near the back entry, if you are taking the shuttle.

Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience at our hotel. Our exterior renovation project is just about done and the finished product looks great. The pond behind our hotel is part of a protected wetland. We are planning some landscaping projects in both the front and back of the hotel that will really make a positive difference. I'm glad you found both Lakeside Bar and Grill and our shuttle service great. Both departments have great people who really strive to exceed expectations. Stay, park and fly a little on the higher end as far as cost but out of the 4 places we’ve used this service by far the best. Clean room, good service and everything you could need in 1 place. You’ve got us hook line and sinker.
