Olympic Provisions was totally different food and ambiance from our previous meal at veritable quandary. But that's not to say it was any worse. More casual, more small plates kind of place. We had heard that charcuterie was the way to go and it really hit the spot. We chose the Spanish charcuterie with 2 salamis, 2 chorizos, and I substituted a cowgirl creamery cow cheese for the goat cheese that usually comes with it. Everything we ordered was so delicious, especially all the different breads that came with our plates. Almonds, roasted red peppers, rhubarb jam w/ bread, homemade bread w/ olive oil; fava beans with oil, mint and feta; pickled beets, rhubarb, cucumber, celery and cauliflower; kielbasa with mustard potato salad. They did have items without meat in them, but I would come here with someone who loves meat and will share these scrumptious dishes with you! Service was helpful and efficient. Location is in a weird "how did they find this place" kind of neighborhood. But go - it'll be worth it!

3 of us had the pleasure of lunch here last week. We ordered The Chef's Cheese Board $12.,and the Chef's choice Charcuterie (meat plate) $16. I also ordered The Tarragon Chicken Salad on Brioche Kaiser $8. Paired with a Stiegel Grapefruit Radler (a delicious grapefruity beer) $5., and Bow and Arrow Johan Vineyard (Melon de Bourgogne) Willamette Valley 2012 $12 Glass. Sensational mixing for the tastebuds and I would highly recommend visiting here while in Portland. Check their web page for more info. Their cured meats and sausages are a delight! Service was excellent!

You can't love meat and not try this place. I was feeling a little under the weather so I avoided their impressive tap and wine list; no matter- the meat's the thing. All their offerings are cured right there and retailed as well. We gobbled down a cheese board (local cheeses, some) and the Italian and Spanish(?) meat boards and tummy be damned, I et them all. Great local vibe, lovely staff and patrons. You'd go a long long way to find a more satisfying lunch.

Impressive food and wine selection. You can order several things, plates are small and delicious. Nicely located, hip/gourmet kitchen. Great charcuterie. Order the meat and cheese board. Do not bring your children unless they are good eaters, nothing here for them. Private atmosphere, very good for romantic dinner or date.

This is a tough review to compose because a meal at Olympic Provisions is not like any other. The food is DELICIOUS. The NorthWest location is quaint and airy and bright. But because it is not the usual dining experience, it is best to be prepared and understand how it works here. First, the location is small - just about 12 tables (2 large) and the exposed "kitchen" places the cooks right in the room with you. Second, you can order entrees but much of the menu is designed more like a tapas style with ability to pick and choose a number of smaller sized selections. This includes meat and cheese "boards" that provide a diverse sampling of items to try. The sweetness and intimacy of the location and menu sharing really makes for a special date night.
