Description: Tucked away on a narrow street in the historic Calumet building in the heart of downtown, this rustic-refined French-American gastro-pub evokes the feel of Paris while being quintessentially Portland. In the heart of downtown, the Brasserie is a place to wind up or wind down. It's a perfect venue for date nights, business lunches, relaxing after work, on-the-town dining, or a post-shopping retreat. Private dining suitable for intimate fêtes or more boisterous affairs. This local brasserie elicits the true essence and spirit of the word “Montmartre,” defined literally as the highest point in Paris, and now figuratively as a perfectly French-American respite for food, drink and conviviality.

A great retreat from Black Friday shopping. Delicious fries, with most dishes. Decor is inviting, and gazing out on a rainy street, transported us back to a Paris neighborhood.

“Downtown French Bistro”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

In the remake of the old restaurant Brasserie Monmarte lost some of it's old Parisian vibe, but the food is fantastic! We had a lovely lunch starting with oysters on the half shell, and a glass of champagne. We then moved on to Croque Madame and frites. Those frites are amazing!!! It's a great place to have lunch after some shopping downtown. Great location near Nordstroms.

“Sweet place.”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

Loved this place. Just felt good when you walk in. Only in Portland for 2 days and came here two evenings. Once for a happy hour drinks and the second time for dinner. Enjoyed the live music they had on Sat. night. and loved the French Harvest Martini. Stay and enjoy the warm sensation this place gives you on a rainy evening.

“A great Happy Hour!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

Six of us went to the Brasserie late Friday night after an art event. There was a jazz combo playing by the front door. The drinks were delicious, and the food was even better! There was a large selection of yummy bites at great prices, like the open faced steak sandwich with brie and chicken parmesan. The burgers were large and the truffle fries were to die for! We will definitely go back!
