A compact traditional Chinese garden. A tranquil place to take a break from the bustle of downtown. You can enjoy the plants, the buildings, even the artistry of the patterns of the walkways. A small tea garden is available if you want or just sit and enjoy.

This is a lovely and peaceful but rather small garden. So it was a little pricey for the 40 minutes that we spent touring the garden. We especially enjoyed the Chinese art work. It has an inviting tea room that we did not visit.

This is a must see while in Portland. The garden is well appointed and tranquil, featuring an abundance of Chinese architecture. I enjoyed having jasmine pearl tea in the tea house, a wonderful visit that took me back to my visit to China.

The Lan Su Chinese Garden is a lovely, colorful, pleasant walled garden in the heart of Portland, Oregon. It's a celebration of Chinese culture, art, and tradition. The plants and arrangements are thoughtful and serene and the tea and snacks are wonderful. This is a lovely place to lunch with friends, or a wonderful place to escape the business of town.

While China Town is nothing to look at, if you have time visit the Chinese gardens. The tour lasts about 1 1/2 . Our tour guide was delightful, pity I can't remember her name but she knew alot. We even had a few peole from China on the tour and they were nodding their heads in agreement with the facts she was telling us. Make sure you visit on Tuesday because they offer a tea ceremony with price of admission. I beleive the admission was about 8 dollrs
