Owned and operated by Mary and Tike (mother and son) this wonderful restaurant is the best
for "Greek" food in the area. Located in the NW Pearl with easy parking and delicious food. Mary makes the best desserts. Yum!

So good we went back for the second night! Lovely place. The food was good, the wine was excellent. We enjoyed talking with Mary and Taki. Taki is the owner and bar tender. Mary is his mother and the waitress. The recipes are authentic Greek. The restaurant is named after the town in Greece where Mary's family came from. We had a leisurely supper enjoying the food, wine, conversation and of course ouzo! Don't miss this restaurant if you are in Portland. Tell them Joe and Sandi said "Hey Y'all".

...the chicken tastes like rubber! I was excited by the menu and atmosphere. I ordered the chicken platter. Very good rice, simple salad, very tasty piece of feta, (wish there had been more) and 2 skewers of chicken. Nice portion for the price of $11. but, really, I think the chicken could bounce if it hit the floor. It was like rubber.

we returned to dorio for dinner, and had a fabulous time. there were 4 of us, and we were asked to move so they could accomodate a party of 20. we gladly obliged, and they didn't charge me for a corona! we started with the house wine, corona, and the uzo with a coors light chaser. the owner, taki, and his mom, mary, are so friendly and value customer service to the nth degree. the ambiance is comforting and relaxing. next, we had the veggie gyros with the salad. both were so so delicious. one of our friends had the same but with fries. she was happy with her meal.another had the yaya burger with salad. everyone was happy. my partner wanted dessert, and asked the owner to surprise her. what emerged was a pumpkin dessert with phillo, and whipped cream. it was mouth watering and ended a truly fine dinner. the rest of the staff were great too.
