“Great pizzas”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Very cute restaurant, minimal outdoor seating, but great menu. Both pizzas we ordered were yummy and big enough for 2 people (we took half of each pizza home....not complaining!) Too full to try their ice cream afterwards, even though people were lining up just for that!

“Near the top of pizza food chain”
Reviewed August 18, 2012 via mobile

In our never-ending search for FANTASTIC pizza, this place is right near the top (faves: Ken's, Serious Pie in Seattle). Crust is chewy without being thick. Loved the Margarita and Gorgonzola+Pear pizzas (wanted a few more pears though ...). Limited wine and beer list but all are good and local. To avoid a lineup (especially on sunny evenings) get here by 5:30 (opens at 5). Finish the meal with some of their delicious ice cream. I recommend salted caramel.

“GREAT pizza”
Reviewed July 9, 2012

We forgot how GOOD the pizza was at this lovely little neighborhood spot. Most people order 1 pizza per person but we just order 1 and split it since we both like the same topping. The crust fabulous and the toppings from the basic plain tomato and cheese to the exotic morel mushrooms are SO good. They also have homemade ice cream in flavors like wild ginger and salted caramel which is worth a stop by itself. We usually get a pint of 1/2 caramel and 1/2 another flavor to take home.
It is not a big restaurant so at times the wait can be close to an hour but the area is a fun place to stroll on a nice evening.

“Great pizza and atmosphere”
Reviewed April 25, 2012

Saw great reviews for this place and it did not disappoint. I was there on my own around 7:30 on a Tuesday night. There was a 20 minute wait so I went to the pub next door for a beer and the hostess called me when a table was ready. I had a pizza - 1/2 margherita and sausage on the other half. Great pizza for people who like the artisan, coal/wood oven style. Outer crust was puffier than other places I've been too like this one, but it was delicious. Great balance of sauce and cheese and thin, chewy crust. Salted caramel ice cream cone for dessert. Very positive, casual atmosphere. Families with kids, couples, and at least one other lone business traveler like me.

“Time to recognize how good this pizza really is...”
Reviewed February 22, 2012

People always talk about Apizza Scholls and Ken's in Portland... and they're really good, don't get me wrong. But Lovely's is quietly pretty awesome, too. Great pies in their wood oven, service is good, price is comparable to other upscale pizza restaurants, and to top it all off - some of the best ice cream with waffle cones at the front on your way out. (Sometimes we just hop in for the ice cream) We've been 3-4 times, and have always been impressed.
