Oyster bar and toddlers don't always work out well, but this worked out surprisingly well for us. Food was solid, vibe was easygoing, they got swamped and service got slow, but our waitress was helpful and friendly.

We wanted to try Gravy but they were closed. The person who recommended it forgot to tell us it's a breakfast/brunch spot! So, we went to Eat. We had the crawfish boil. It was ok - a little gritty. I'd never go back.

Loved the Chelseas, tasted almost like Penn Cove Mussels.
Also had the seafood gumbo - it was a little too spicy and runny for me - asked for more rice.
Dessert was heavenly and since it took some time to make, we were comped.
All in all I will go again if only for the oysters!!

I recently went here with a group of six on a Sunday morning around 10:30am. We didn't have to wait for a table, but the garage doors were open, so it was a bit chilly. I assume if it was colder out they would have those shut and tables would be more crowded. There was live jazz that was great to listen to! We all had either the special which was crab cake benedicts or egg sardou which is on the menu. We agreed that while the crab cakes were delicious, the egg sardou stole the show. It was simply delicious! The service was a tad on the slow side, but they were very nice and we will definitely be back!! I've been craving that dish all week!
