Did the day tour of Willamette Valley - just 4 of us - my best friend from Highland Park IL and his wife joined us. Wives aren't really cyclists while my friend and I are avid. We did the hybrid bike thing up the valley and stopped at 2 wineries. Our guide, Sam, was first rate. Friendly, informative and helpful. We pedaled at a leisurely pace - it was a little hilly but not too challenging. if you haven't been on a bike in a while it may seem more difficult.
We bought a bag lunch at a small locally owned sandwich shop in Newberg that Sam kept in the van for us until we got to the wineries.
The wineries we stopped at were great (Four Graces and Arborbrook) - although I guess i expected cellar tours (the wineries we stopped at did not have cellars - and we had to pay for our tastings which wasn't included in Pedal Tours price (only $10/person and those were waived when we bought some wine anyway - the $10 is well worth it since you taste 5 - 6 wines). Sam picked some good wineries for us to visit - not the giant congolemerate ones rather the locally owned. The hosts (often the owners themselves) were friendly, informative and helpful at the wineries.
All in all well worth it.
