Our group had a great meal at this seafood orientated place. The service was good and the wine selection better. It should also be noted thay have good lamb and steak entrees. The only down side was the appetizer selection and the parking can be challenging in that neighborhood.

Although we were seated half-an-hour late, the food and service at this small seafood restaurant in NE Portland earns it five stars. We had a six-member party that required three tables to be put together and the couple at the middle table ordered a second round of desserts and then after-dinner drinks. (The drinks were due to the fact that they recognized the predicament and were making a statement.) No problem. The staff found seats for us at the bar and at one of our eventual tables, served us complementary champagne, and made the evening work.

And the food? Outstanding. We began by sharing appetizers, oysters on the half-shell, Caesar salad, and calimari, then moved on to main courses. Mine was skate, a seafood dish I have not had in years. It was sweet and delicate. My wife had the Local Ling Cod with a brandade. Another couple followed our lead, while the third had the cioppino, which they declared to be excellent.

Our friends liked it so much that they returned the following weekend. Like MacArthur, we too shall return ... often.

Pâté and duck were amazing. Mushroom soup was a pleasant surprise. Great place for a quiet family or a couple night out. Will come back again :)

This lovely restaurant is off the culinary beaten track in Portland. We were delighted not to have to apply for a seat weeks in advance (as at one of the trendy restaurants) to celebrate a friend's birthday. And yet, this restaurant deserves to be busier. It is tucked on a side street just off a busy street not known for trendiness. But what a find! Its modern interior was cozy and warm and the staff was attentive. There was a wonderful selection of seafood appetizers and entrees as well as several other options and everything was perfect. High quality, fresh ingredients skillfully prepared. It was a delightful evening. Good fresh seafood is expensive so expect to pay a bit more than a mediocre restaurant, but not exorbitant for the quality. Obviously the owners take pride in their restaurant.
