Don’t let the name fool you, the only thing “exotic” about this restaurant is the beautiful chef and her staff. The chef grew up in Hawaii but the food is completely Swiss comfort food. All of it is delicious, but the salad dressing is especially to die for and I have bought several bottles of it. It’s great on salad but you should really just dip bread in it. Tangy goodness.
Literally everything tastes great. The ambiance is cozy and quaint, so you should either get there early or get a reservation. I wouldn’t want to wait long.

A tiny place, we were lucky to get in without reservations on a Thursday evening. We were so impressed by our server Tammy, who was so excited about the food. She explained all the wonderful dishes on the menu, and gave us a great recommendation for wine. Then the food arrived and we were again impressed! Delicious house made sauces and spaetzi and wonderfully tender pork made every bite a delight. Even the house made salad dressing was special!

Three of us, all German/Swiss/Austrian food lovers, had dinner at Swiss Hibiscus on a busy Friday night. Our dinners were flavorful and authentic. The fondue starter is creamy, nostalgically aromatic, and a great beginning for the evening. The raumschnitzel with mushroom sauce was absolutely delicious. The salmon fish special was subtle and fresh. All three of us were most impressed by the sauces the chef produced, which were balanced, flavorful, and perfect complements to the dishes they enhanced. The small place is not fancy, but the food is terrific!

We happened to find the Swiss Hibiscus while looking for a good restaurant relatively near the Portland airport. What a find! The fondue was so good, as was our dessert, but the service made our evening very special. Don’t hesitate - go!

Came for our sons 16th birthday.

Everything was delicious. The fondue was so good.

The swiss onion soup was a perfect 10.

Schnitzel was so good. I had the one with paprika sauce. Just wow.

Dessert was incredible as well. The staff even sang to my son.

What an awesome dinner. We really enjoy this place for the outstanding food and no frills atmosphere.

Highly recommended but make sure you get a reservation. It's a small place so it's best to plan ahead.
