“Great theater!”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Hadly a bad seat in the placr The sound and the view of the stage are excellent from all over. The place is well designed (other than in common with every venue, there are bit too few women's bathrooms at intermission.) Shows are mostly fantanstic. They do an especially great job on musical productions. Staff is friendly and accomodating. Tickets purchasing and exchanges are well handled. They even have good food and wine! Easy walk to Powell's and many fine restaurants.Definintely worth making a part of any trip to Portland if there's a show available when you visit.

“Great building, great entertainment.”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

This theater in the heart of the Pearl is worth a look just to see how an armory was converted into a way hip theater. They do excellent plays there--go to one!

“Great Theater space”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

If your visiting Portland this is the place to go for a nice evening out to catch a play or performance. All the spaces have great sound and seating. Its a really cool space, great art and concession in the lobby. I've been for Comedy, Theater, Music and lectures, enjoyed them all.

“Gorgeous venue for theater!”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

We've been season ticket holders at Portland Center Stage for 20 years, and we love the Gerding Theater at the armory. Both theaters are excellent venues for plays, and I love the fact that the restrooms are plentiful!

“Saw fiddler on the roof”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

Great theater with fun productions. It is small enough that there are no bad seats. The lower level has a small studio theater with no reserved seats for more trendy and risky productions. Love the old, old building that they have modernized just enough to make it comfy and still feel old. They have a small cafe and offer spirits.
