Housekeeping and front desk staff need training!
For toiletries they use the standard large containers mounted on wall - shampoo and bath gel were empty - basically had to take a rinse rather than shower. When let the front desk the response was "Oh, that's a common problem here, happens a lot".
Also, they were out of pool towels, so when I went to the front desk to get a towel for my son and husband, as they had been in the pool for a while, the response from front desk was "it will be another 25 minutes before the driver comes back from the airport and he will bring you the towels", and which point I let them know that it was not acceptable as we needed them now. So she ran around the hotel for 10 minutes trying to find some towels and came back with 1 towel, saying the rest were in the wash. She then went into her back office and found some blue towel lying around, and offered that too me.
It is these customer service issues that make a hotel stay pleasant or not.
