we've been wanting to try this restaurant, and had an opportunity with friends after biking portland sunday parkways. we began with 2 pacificos, an ale, and a hot toddy. the server didn't know how to fix a hot toddy, but made it with precision. then we ordered the veggie tostada and chile relleno. our friends had catch of the day tacos, chichen tacos, and pork tacos with guac on the side. the meal was so delicious. they used real mexican cheese which is a bonus. the server was especially friendly, efficient, and funny. we will return....thx!

Nice small restaurant. Friendly service. I had the Avocado and Beet Salad which was wonderfully prepared. The avocados where chopped up small and tossed throughout. It had delicious beets around the edges and toasted pumpkin seeds thrown on top. Delicious! House red was nice too.

Small Mexican Restaurant on restaurant row in Kerns neighborhood in Portland. In a town with many kinds of mexican restaurants Fonda Rosa is not the hippest, best, most interesting, most avant garde, or cheapest. It does have good fish tacos for four dollars and other tacos from three to five dollars. The arroz con pollo was very good. Don't miss the coconut creme brulee. It is quiet enough that you can linger and talk comfortably.

This tiny little place off of East Burnside is amazing! The tacos are authentic, the margaritas are delicious, and the place is charming. We love that you can order the tacos individually, as well as a full dinner. And the place is teeny tiny, so the owner is always there, making sure everything is top-notch.

Well, this was very nice.......on a couple recommendations and yelp reviews, I stopped into Fonda Rosa. I can honestly say that I have not had a chili relleno this good, in a dogs age. From the cheese to the type of sauce they use. It's top notch. The chips are also very good here. I can only assume they make their meals from scratch here. The wait staff and owner are also very personable, which is always very nice. Interaction did not seem forced. Soooo, that said, if i'm here again, I would definetly return....
