Description: MetroVino is a restaurant and bar located in the north end of Portland's Pearl District, just a few walking blocks north of Jamison Square Park and on the Portland Street Car line. We offer an inspired menu featuring refined yet rustic cuisine. Executive Chef Gregory Denton uses time-honored techniques and flavor combinations to prepare fresh, local ingredients simply and in season. “Owner was dishonest”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

It was very disappointing not to receive the credit promised by owner, Todd Steele, after I inadvertently paid a gratuity on top of the automatic gratuity they charged for my large party, in spite of 4 phone calls to remind him of his promise. The food was mediocre but the good will offered for this overpriced meal would have made up for it. Instead, I deeply resent the $150.00 I paid in gratuity and corkage fees and would not ever go back. An owner who does not keep his word clearly does not care about his reputation. Stay away to avoid a disappointing experience.

“Best”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

This has to be the biggest secret on the food front in Portland. Happy hour food is great, dinner is exquisite with excellent wines by the glass and very good cocktails, All entrees are good, but the fettucini is to die for.

“Fills a gap for foodies everywhere”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Being a cook that works from the ground up and with the best ingredients, it's nice to know there is place that serves the kind of food I don't normally make at home. The bone marrow appetizer and duck confit entree was excellent and begs for more than a second visit. Wine flights are fantastic for those new to wines AND wine lovers. Perfect menu, great prices, and expansive view!

“Great food, wine, and ambience”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

Metrovino is a great restaurant within the Pearl District and an especially terrific stop for wine lovers. The wine list is broad and offers patrons the option of a half glass in addition to standard full glass and bottle offerings. They also offer many wine flights which encompass most types of wine you may be searching for. While the menu is smaller and a bit pricey, it has offerings to please most palates. I personally had the chickpea fritters and was very impressed with them. The staff was warm and friendly and contributed to an extremely pleasant experience.

“Venture for the vino.”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

At the edge of the Pearl District, MetroVino is a terrific spot to enjoy a little wine education. The tasting menu is fun, our group tried three different flights and each were true to their description - and the tidbits offered by the wait staff. Full wine menu and food menu also available.

Decor is open and trendy. Not formal, but classy. Reasonably priced.

Staff were excellent - friendly, fast, knowledgeable.

Noticed that the special entree price increased by $2 during the time we were there. Didn't have food, but it looked/smelled appealing. Not many vegan options.

Would go back for drinks.
