School was out and loads of kids were having fun at the zoo. We really enjoyed the baby elephant. We took the light rail line and then the elevator that flew us up 400+ feet to the zoo.

Well thought out zoo with themed area displays. Really enjoyed the set up of the North Woods Section with bears so close. Love how they have adapted plantlife to the themed areas! Cost was in line with other attractions in the area, however I think they could do without the additional $4 parking charge when it is really on the honor system. Also nice that the zoo is accessible by Tri-Met. Several areas were closed but I guess that was due to the time we went (February).

Were in town and decided to go to the zoo get a feel for the Portland. Very interesting place with plenty to see and do for individual couples and families. The NW section was very good with plenty of animals and plants from the area. The elephants had a new baby which was very neat to see and the all the animals seemed happy. A good place to visit for the family.
