Riding the Zoo lights train was pure magic for our two year old grandson even though it was past his bedtime! Now we can't wait to go see baby Lily

Pretty good selection of beautiful animals and a decent price. It was really cool to watch the polar bears being fed (for free).

Took the grandkids and had a great time. This is our second Christmas and has been great both times.

The Portland Zoo is not particularly large but the setting is spectacular and the venue is quite charming. We have been going there with kids for a number of years. It is situated nicely in Portland's west hills and close to major city parks, the Children's Museum and the Rose Test and Japanes Gardens. it is easy to make a day out of the visit.

I went to see Lily, the Asian elephant born at the zoo November 30. She was running in their enclosure and generally being a very young elephant. It was so sweet to see her stumble on a pile of sand. She was struggling for her coordination and I could see the resemblance to a small child that has just learned to walk...She's still just getting the hang of being upright. A nice family of elephants being watched by an appreciative crowd on a cold rainy day in Portland. Bring your hat and gloves!
