“Gorgeous during blooming season”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

I think the blooming season is April, if memory serves me right. A must see then. Good place to stroll and relax other times of year.

“Beautiful in the spring”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

May and early June is the best time to visit. The azaleas in early May are stunning and are followed by millions of rhody blooms!

“Great place to visit, especially after labor day- it's FREE”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

This is a great place to go in the fall - after labor day - admission is free. The rest of the year admission is only $3.

One thing out of your control is whether the park is being used for a wedding. The area used for using comprises about 25% of the total area, so you really can't see the entire park when a wedding is being held. I am not aware of any way to know in advance.

The campus of Reed College is just across the parking lot - also a nice place to take a walk if you have never been there.

“A haven in the middle of the city”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

Take your time best when the rhododendrons are blooming but can be very crowded then also,so go whenever you have time to walk all around the fountains, and ponds, the flowers are so pretty nice and cool on a hot day or eve.
